Biography

Commander Padgett began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2013, and is the Commander of the Emergency Services Division.  He has an extensive background in emergency services and his command experience ranges vastly from the daily emergency response to involvement in large wildland fires, the mass school shooting at Columbine High School, gasoline tanker fires, hazardous materials incidents and technical rescues.

His professional experience includes serving as Fire Chief Officer, as well as Department Head for the Emergency Preparedness Division, Training Division and Paramedic Division.  He has also served as his Department Representative for Hazard Mitigation, which included response training, evaluating, planning events for floods, mass casualties and wildland fire responses.
