Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest for Stalking
On August 22, 2014, the Green Mountain Falls Marshal's Office requested the assistance of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office regarding an incident involving a 67 year old male who had been stalking a ten year old female victim.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office Investigations Division conducted an investigation which revealed that Louis D. Pico, 67, of Green Mountain Falls, had been leaving suggestive hand written notes, money and candy for the victim. It was also learned that he had been performing sex acts on himself in view of her and attempting to gain her attention while doing so. Pico had also been reported to be using binoculars to look into the victim's bedroom window.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Pico as well as a search warrant for his residence. Items were recovered from the residence supporting the allegations. Louis Pico was taken into custody and was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on charges of:
18-3-602 C.R.S., Stalking, a class 5 felony
18-7-102(2.5)(a) C.R.S., Obscenity, a class 6 felony
18-7-302 C.R.S., Indecent Exposure, a class 1 misdemeanor
18-7-301 C.R.S., Public Indecency, a class 1 petty offense
