El Paso County Sheriff's Office Investigates Attempted Kidnapping
On June 1, 2014 at approximately 12:17 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an attempted kidnapping in the area of Woodmen Hills Drive and Velvet Antler Way.
The 19 year old female victim was riding her bicycle along Woodmen Hills Drive when a dark colored sport utility vehicle (SUV) pulled up next to her. The male suspect got out of the SUV, grabbed the victim and forced her into the vehicle; the suspect took the bicycle as well. As the suspect began to speed away, the victim jumped free from the vehicle, sustaining minor injuries. The victim fled to a nearby home and told the residents what occurred and the Sheriff’s Office was immediately notified. The suspect vehicle fled eastbound on Woodmen Hills Drive and has not been located.
The suspect is described as white male wearing a red, black and white striped hoodie.
