In a show of community support the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office recently held a blood drive.  Many from our office showed their support by donating blood to the Penrose, St. Francis blood bank.  The Mobile Blood Vessel collected a total of 49 pints of blood that day.

The staff from Penrose St. Francis, who manned the Mobile Blood Vessel: Larry, Laura, Lance, Chloe, Valerie and Merlyn, all conveyed their deep appreciation and thanks for a job very well done.

We had several first time donators. We also had several that used the “buddy system”, coming in with a friend. Everyone was enthusiastic. Some were anxious. We are grateful to all.
